We've had fish at home as long as I can remember. In the beginning we had only one small tank, since we lived in a very small flat, but it turned out quite soon that after some rearragements we could afford the one containig 200 litres.
Today we have a bigger flat, so the number of tanks increased from 1 to 4. Two of them belong to my children. Arek specialises in breeding plecoes, gibbicepses and other algae eaters. Agnieszka's favourites are labyrint fish.
We have always been fascinated by cichlids. Our favourite, and I think one of the most beautiful fish in the world is Lamprologus brichardi, whose family life is something really unique.
Today we also have cichlids, although they are not Lamprologus brichardi any more.

Our turtles are as old as Agnieszka. When they arrived, they resembled two tiny green leaves which had just fallen off a tree. Now they are quite big, turned out to be a couple, so try to mate from time to time, but we have enough other animals to breed!

We also have newts, which sometimes mate and give us a lot of opportunities to observe their amazing, a bit prehistoric way of life.

I would also like to show a photo of two wonderful animals, who, unfortunately, are no longer with us. These were budgerigars, two great friends, who once even had babies. Now as we have cats, these beautiful birds will probably never come back to our home, but they still live in our hearts. I'm sorry for the quality of the photo, but it is very old, since our budgerigars lived with us before our children were born, in the 80s.
